Shea can provide excellent guidance to improve numerous skills on and off of the court. Some of the main aspect of volleyball that she can cover are:
Passing: Focusing on covering tips, back corner shots, and fast-paced hits. These sessions will teach players to stay quick on their feet and low to the ground, always ready for the ball!
Serving: Based on the level of skill of the player, lessons on serving can cover anywhere from being able to get the ball over the net, to serving spots on the court, serving floaters, and even jump serving!
Hitting: During the hitting session of a lesson, the main focus will be to effectively practice the players approach, ball control placement, arm swing, and jump height. These are fundamental for the future of your player’s volleyball career!
Setting: Regardless of if your player plays the setter position, being able to comfortably use your hands within volleyball is essential on the court. Players will learn how to set spots on the court from the setter’s position, along with open hand receiving balls in a defensive manner.
Tactical Thinking: The tactical thinking portion of the lesson is subjective to the position of the player. Setters will be taught when it is appropriate to tip or shoot the ball over the net in an attempt to throw the other team off. Hitters will focus on when they should hit the ball on the line, angle, and also when they should tip the ball. Tactical thinking within volleyball is one of the easiest ways to score points for your team, work smarter not harder!
